Preserving stories.
Creating value.

Sparkle Collections acquires, protects and manages established media intellectual property — helping rights owners unlock value today while giving great content the opportunity to continue earning tomorrow.

What we do

Giving valuable IP a future.

Film, television, music and media catalogues can retain significant long-term value, even when the company that created or owns them is changing direction or facing commercial pressure. Sparkle provides a practical route to acquire, protect and continue exploiting those rights.

01 / ACQUIRE

Catalogue acquisition

We consider established catalogues and individual rights packages where owners are seeking liquidity, restructuring or a strategic exit.

02 / PROTECT

Rights preservation

We work to ensure an orderly transfer, clear chain of title and continued stewardship of intellectual property that might otherwise become difficult to exploit.

03 / CREATE VALUE

Ongoing exploitation

Acquired rights can be actively managed for licensing, distribution, sales and new commercial opportunities across relevant territories and platforms.

About Sparkle

Born from experience of a changing media industry.

Sparkle Collections began with a group of experienced media executives asking a very practical question: how can good businesses and valuable content survive — and keep generating value — in an increasingly uncertain marketplace?

We know the pressures facing independent producers and rights owners because they are the same pressures being felt across our industry. Cash flow can tighten unexpectedly. Commissioning patterns change. Productions are delayed. Distribution models evolve. Investment becomes harder to secure. Yet sitting within many businesses are catalogues, programmes, music and other intellectual property built up over many years that continue to have genuine commercial value.

Sparkle was created to find practical solutions at those difficult moments. We acquire and manage established media rights, providing owners with an opportunity to release value from their intellectual property while helping ensure that the content itself is protected, professionally managed and given the best opportunity to continue earning.

Our approach is deliberately straightforward. We take time to understand the rights, the business and the circumstances behind each conversation. We then look at what the catalogue may realistically be worth, where future revenues may exist and whether a sale or structured transfer can provide a useful cash-flow solution.

Where appropriate, a transaction can also include continuing participation for the original owner, so that selling a catalogue does not necessarily mean walking away from its future success.

Sparkle is not about distressed selling. It is about recognising value, protecting intellectual property and finding intelligent ways to create liquidity when businesses need it most.

We know the industry

Sparkle comes from media. We understand production, rights, distribution, royalties and the commercial pressures behind the creative business.

We understand the moment

Sometimes strong companies need cash-flow solutions. A difficult trading period does not mean that the underlying intellectual property has stopped being valuable.

We look for a fair way forward

Our aim is to structure sensible transactions that create immediate value while preserving the longer-term opportunity within the catalogue.

How it works

Discreet. Straightforward. Commercial.

Not every conversation needs to become a transaction. The first step is simply to understand the catalogue and the circumstances.

01 Confidential initial conversation and catalogue review.
02 Review of ownership, chain of title and commercial history.
03 Indicative discussion around value and transaction structure.
04 Due diligence and agreed rights-transfer documentation.
05 Continued management and exploitation by Sparkle.
When to talk to us

Before valuable rights become a problem.

We welcome conversations with producers, rights-owning companies, shareholders and professional advisers. Sparkle may be particularly relevant where a business is restructuring, reducing liabilities, rationalising non-core assets, considering closure or simply looking to release value from a catalogue.

Talking to us does not commit you to selling. It can simply help establish whether there is a sensible alternative for the rights.

Considering your options?

Considering selling your catalogue?

Selling a catalogue can sound like a major step. Sometimes, however, it can simply be a sensible way of unlocking value that is already sitting within your business.

For many independent producers and rights owners, intellectual property has been built up over years. Programmes may still be generating royalties, have international potential, or hold opportunities that have never been fully explored. But in a difficult or uncertain market, the business may need cash today rather than income spread over many years.

That is where a conversation with Sparkle can help. We can take an initial look at the catalogue, understand the rights and revenue history, and consider whether there is a realistic basis for an acquisition.

You do not need to be in financial difficulty to talk to us. You may simply want to strengthen cash flow, release capital for new productions, simplify your business, retire, restructure or decide that somebody else is better placed to manage and exploit older rights.

A catalogue sale does not have to be the end of the relationship with your programmes. In the right circumstances, we can explore structures that allow the original owner to retain a participation in future income.
01 / TALK

Start confidentially

An initial conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Tell us what you own and what you are trying to achieve.

02 / REVIEW

Understand the value

We look at the catalogue, ownership, historic revenues and future potential to see whether an acquisition makes commercial sense.

03 / CONSIDER

Decide in your own time

If there is a potential deal, we explain the proposed structure clearly. You can then decide whether it is right for you and your business.

If you are simply wondering what your catalogue might be worth, that is a perfectly good place to start.
